Oven-Baked Lemon Garlic Salmon

Updated: Mar 14, 2022

Salmon is such a mild, flaky fish that my family loves, plus it's got healthy fats and is so good for you. So I try to make it as much as I can. And like you, I'm always looking for an easy way to make it that's delicious. Well this recipe delivers!

Here's the recipe:

  • 1.5 pounds salmon fillet

  • 1 TBS olive oil

  • 3 cloves finely minced garlic (this tool makes it super easy!)

  • Juice from 1/2 lemon (you can use bottled too)

  • 1 TSP Italian seasoning

  • 1/4 TSP salt

  • black pepper to taste

  • 2 TBS diced cold butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F (200° C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.

  2. Lightly coat the foil with olive oil. Place the salmon fillets on the foil, be sure not to overlap the fillets .

  3. Drizzle each fillet with 1 tablespoon olive oil and cover with the minced garlic.

  4. Drizzle the fillets with lemon juice and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Evenly place a few pieces of the butter on each fillet and cover the salmon with the foil.

  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes (depending on the thickness of your fillet). Check after 10 minutes, if the fish is flaky, it's ready to eat!
