Spicy Korean Gochujang Chicken Wings

Sure, you can make buffalo wings like everyone else. But if you want to impress your friends and family and eat delicious wings, try my spicy Korean chicken wings! Plus, they're baked not fried. You can make them in the air fryer too!

Here's how to make them:

Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs chicken wings, wingettes and drumettes

  • salt

  • ground black pepper

  • 3 cloves minced garlic

  • 3 TBS Gochujang (Korean paste - you can find this in any asian grocery store, but be careful, the hot one is super spicy!)

  • 2 TBS soy sauce

  • 1/2 TBS apple cider vinegar

  • 2 TBS granulated sugar

  • 2 TBS water

  • 1 TSP sesame oil

  • toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

  • chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, season the wings with salt and pepper.

  3. Put the wings on the baking sheet skin side up and bake them for about 40 - 45 minutes, until they are cooked through and crisp.

  4. In a small sauce pan, add the remaining ingredients except the toasted sesame seeds and green onions. Heat on low and whisk to mix well. Turn off the heat when it thickens.

  5. Toss the baked chicken wings with the sauce and coat well. Garnish with the sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately and enjoy!
