I. Love. Churros. So much. When I'm at an amusement park or carnival and I see them, I HAVE to have one. That first bite of the crunchy cinnamon sugary fried goodness is the best. If you love them as much as I do, you'll want to make these. They're best when dipped into homemade dulce de leche (also very easy to make), trust me.
Here's how to make them:
Ingredients
1 cup warm water
2 1/2 TSP granulated sugar, plus 1/2 cup for coating
2 TBS canola oil
1 cup flour
1/2 TSP salt
2 eggs
1 TSP cinnamon, for coating
2 quarts (8 cups) canola or peanut oil, for frying
Instructions
Combine the water, 2 1/2 TSP sugar and canola oil in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil then remove from heat.
Add the flour and stir until the mixture forms a smooth paste.
Add the eggs, one at a time, and stir until the mixture is smooth.
Spoon the dough into a piping bag with a 3/4" or 1" star-shaped tip. TIP: After you put the tip in the piping bag, place it tip down into a drinking glass and fold the bag over the edges of the glass. Then add the dough with a spatula. This make is much easier!
Pipe 5"-6" strips onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 45 minutes.
Heat the oil in a large pot or dutch oven to 375° F. I recommend using a thermometer.
Fry the churros 4-5 at a time (you don't want to crowd the pot) until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Mix the cinnamon and sugar and immediately sprinkle it onto the churros while they're hot.
Dip them into melted chocolate or dulce de leche and enjoy!

We had Churros last night thanks to you. only thing different was we did them in the air fryer. They were good but not as good as frying in oil.
We will be sharing with friends next time we get together.
